On the way to Sohar

This was a Saturday and the children were coming home from school. The week-end in Oman is Thursday and Friday.




The fishing town of Sohar. The people live right on the waters edge. It smelt of fish. Sohar, OMAN. The legendary birthplace of Sinbad the Sailor, Sohar is a small fishing port to the north west of Muscat.

















At the back of the Wali's office is the beach. The birds pull the dead fish up onto the cement railings and if you enlarge the photo you may notice the hundres of crabs on the beach.

Only way to find out that the museum was closed was this message on the door. :)
